NOTE: The GTO Wizard platform has so much to discuss that we broke it out into two separate guides. This one discusses the GTO Wizard training library. To learn more about the in-browser solver and AI trainer tools, click here.
GTO Wizard's Training Library = Hidden ROI
One of the most underrated and undervalued aspects of GTO Wizard is the access you get to a massive library of training content by some of the best players in the world. Most people who join GTO Wizard get too attracted by the allure of using the platform's in-browser solver as a "quick cheat sheet" to see if they played a hand correctly or not. These people are completely missing the plot on how to actually get full value out of the platform and everything it has to offer.
Everything I'll be talking about is coming from personal experience of a formerly slightly losing/break-even 200NL player to someone who can now confidently beat the games. To be clear, I don't claim to be a top player (not even close, I pick my tables carefully for a reason). Nonetheless, these are the ways I was able to fully utilize the GTO Wizard platform to improve my game.
NOTE: The above graph is my personal online cash game results in 2025 from recreationally playing 6-max $1/2 (200NL) across various sites combined into one graph.

Navigation Tips:
Here you will have access to the entire GTO Wizard training library where you can sort for training content focused on either Cash Games, Multi-Table Tournaments (MTT), Pure Game Theory, or Spin SNG (Single Table Tournaments). You are also able to sort by training lessons released by individual coaches. Different coaches on the platform have their own specializations that they built their professional careers off of, so it's advisable you try them all and find the one that best matches your preferred communication and learning style.
The Curriculum
Most training videos range from 30 minutes to 1 hour in length, making them the perfect balance between being concise and to-the-point while also not being so long that you'll zone out. One of the nice things about the training library is you can search for specific areas of deficiency and learn from the best players in the world directly in those areas.
For example, if I was a player who felt like I didn't know what I was doing with my straight draws/flush draws, there's a training video for that exact topic in the GTO Wizard library:
Here's a short list of topics that are covered in depth by category:
Cash Games:
- Playing SB vs BB post-flop, single raised pots (27 minutes)
- How to play the turn after the flop is checked through (56 minutes)
- Exploiting loose aggressive players (38 minutes)
- Key GTO heuristics for playing 3-bet pots out of position (52 minutes)
- How to play monotone flops (51 minutes)
+ many more
Tournaments:
- 60 big blind, 3-bet pots - Button Versus Cutoff (58 minutes)
- Evolving preflop ranges throughout tournament phases (53 minutes)
- The Theory of Bluffing with ICM (56 minutes)
- Flaws in the Independent Chip Model (52 minutes)
- Post-flop play on the Final Table (48 minutes)
+ many more
Overall Teaching Style:
What makes GTO Wizard's training library different from other training content you may find online is that all of the trainers focus heavily on teaching heuristics of complex game theory.
A "heuristic" is basically a "general rule of thumb". It's a quick fix you can immediately apply to your game that will generally make your decisions closer to the computer simulated solutions to different categories of hands.
The reason for the emphasis on heuristics-style teaching is that it's impossible to memorize every single computer-solved solution for the millions of possible boards and preflop setups. The more you use the heuristics you learn from the training content, the more you will begin to learn the "why" behind what you are doing from seeing hands play out in real-time.
Practice Hands vs AI Trainer
One of the best features of the GTO Wizard platform is its practice tool where you can drill specific hand setups against the computer.
At the top, you'll see the action that's taken place so far in the hand (In the image above it would be UTG w/ 100 Big Blinds raises to 2.5 Big Blinds, HJ folds, CO folds, BTN calls, etc.)
At the bottom you are provided with a variety of options that you can choose from.
The trainer tool is highly customizable, allowing you to configure the type of hand setups you're quizzed on. To configure the trainer, click or tap on the ⚙︎ Gear icon in the left side bar.
You will then be presented with the following configuration options:
In summary, this trainer tool allows you to compare your play against 'perfect' computer solutions in real-time. By benchmarking your moves against the GTO standard, you can pinpoint exactly where your game deviates and tailor your study curriculum to plug those leaks.
Important Considerations For New Users
Due to the speed at which users can access calculated hand solver outcomes using GTO Wizard's in browser application, every single major online poker network has banned players from having the website open at the same time as actively playing at the tables. Additionally, GTO Wizard actively works with the game security teams at these major online poker sites to protect the integrity of online games.
Therefore, in order to keep your accounts safe, please do not actively use GTO Wizard at the same time as being sat down at a table. This is meant to be used as a learning tool off-the-felt, and enforcement of this issue is strong.
Pricing And Discounts
A large portion of the training library is free to use where all you have to do is sign up for an account. However, on some of the training videos you will be required to have at least a GTO Wizard Premium subscription which costs $69/month with the annual package (22% Discount), or $89/month with the monthly deal.

If you use our partner link by clicking the "SIGN UP" button you will receive a 10% discount on your first purchase
Keep in mind that the Premium subscription actually comes with much more than just access to the training library.
This subscription tier also comes with:
- GTO Solver with over 10,000,000 pre-solved game trees
- GTO Trainer tool where you can practice hands against an AI and drill custom tailored situations.
- If you play online poker, you can mass upload your hand histories to their GTO analyzer tool and let the software detect weaknesses in your game for you to specifically practice and work on.
These additional features that come with the training library is what makes the value truly worth it.
